    摘要: Although Eimeria diseases common in rabbits in China, no information was available on it in Heilongjang Province. In this study, at least eight Eimeria species were detected in domestic rabbits in Harbin in Heilongjang Province. The diagnosis of Eimeria species has been based on the morphology unsporulated oocysts as well as analysis of PCR product obtained by specific primers.

    摘要: We sequenced the entire mitochondrial genome of Lyrurus tetrix for the first time. The mitogenome was 16,677bp in length, encoded with a standard set of 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes plus a putative control region. Almost all genes were encoded on the H-strand except the ND6 and eight tRNA genes. All protein-coding genes initiated with ATG, except for COX1 and ND5 (GTG). An 18-bp-nucleotide deletion occured in the ND6 of Lyrurus tetrix in contrast to other Galliformes. The total base composition of the mitogenome was 30.4% for A, 30.4% for C, 25.8% for T and 13.4% for G. These results provide basic information for phylogenetic analyses among Galliformes.

    摘要: We sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of Japanese Marsh Warbler (Locustella pryeri) for the first time. The mitogenome was 17,968bp in length, contained 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes and 2 putative control regions. The total base composition of the mitogenome was 29.7% for A, 24.1% for T, 31.9% for C and 14.3% for G. The complete mitogenome sequence provides useful information for phylogenetic analyses among Passeriformes and species conservation.

    摘要: Background: Enterocytozoon bieneusi is the most common pathogen of 14 microsporidian species infecting humans worldwide. In China, E. bieneusi has been reported in some common livestock and environmental specimens. However, no information is available on occurrence of E. bieneusi in reindeers. The objective of the present study was to detect and genotype E. bieneusi in reindeers in China, and assess the zoonotic potential.

    Findings: 125 fecal specimens were collected from wild reindeers in the northeast forest region of Great Hinggan Mountains of China. By PCR and sequencing of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region of the ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene of E. bieneusi, an average infection rate of 16.8 % (21/125) was observed in reindeers. E. bieneusi was detected in two age groups: 7.7 % (3/39) in the youths (aged 1 to 2 years) and 22.2 % (18/81) in the adults (aged 3 to 8 years). Five genotypes were identified: one known genotype Peru6 (n = 6) and four novel genotypes named as CHN-RD1 (n = 12), and CHN-RD 2 to CHN-RD4 (one each). In phylogenetic analysis, all the novel genotypes together with known genotype Peru 6 were clustered into group 1.

    Conclusions: This is the first report of E. bieneusi infection in reindeers, expanding the host range of E. bieneusi. The fact of genotype Peru 6 previously reported in humans and the result of all the novel genotypes falling into zoonotic group 1 suggest the possibility of E. bieneusi transmitted from reindeers to humans.

    摘要: High efficiency of in vitro capacitation of deer sperm has not yet been achieved as low sperm penetration rates were reported in in vitro fertilization studies. Our main goal in this study was to identify the changes of frozen-thawed sperm of the rare red deer Tarim wapiti (Cervus elaphus yarkandensis) and detect the effect of bovine serum albumin (BSA), serum, and heparin on the protein tyrosine phosphorylation of frozen-thawed sperm. The frozen-thawed sperm of Tarim wapiti was suspended in improved modified tyrode-albumin-lactate-pyruvate medium and cultured in 5% CO2 at 38.5 degrees C, and the status of protein tyrosine phosphorylation of sperm was detected by Western blotting. Although the results showed that the type number and expression of protein tyrosine phosphorylation of frozen-thawed wapiti sperm were decreased, the tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins such as 10, 14, 40, 47, and 55 kDa were increased significantly during the process of capacitation culture (1-2 h). In addition, tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins were promoted by BSA rather than serum, and estrus sheep serum (ESS) rather than estrus deer serum. When ESS and heparin were used together at 4 h after capacitation, four main tyrosine phosphorylation proteins (10+/-2, 14+/-2, 25+/-3, and 47+/-3 kDa) had a significantly higher expression than that at 2 h after capacitation. We demonstrated that these proteins were involved in wapiti sperm in vitro capacitation, heparin in the incubation media was necessary for the capacitation and tyrosine phosphorylation protein was promoted by ESS.
